Our History
Home Pro Builders, Inc. was founded by Brian D. Fisher in 1987 as a home improvement and home repair company. Many early customers knew of Brian’s love of deck building though, and in response to their requests, he added construction of finely crafted decks and screened porches to his list of services. Over the years, the business has grown to include basements and additions. As in the beginning, customers are always our best source of advertising, and the phrase “Basements by Brian” has come to mean more than just your average finished basement.
Unlike most other companies, there are no salesmen or pushy tactics. Brian is the first person that you will meet, and he is involved in all aspects of the project. More often than not, he is one of the guys with a tool belt on during the construction phase! This personal involvement is not for show, but is a choice made by Brian to ensure high quality workmanship and satisfied customers.
If you have heard horror stories about contractors who do poor work and disappear, there is no need to worry here. Brian was born and raised in Fairfax County, and except for a time in the Navy, has never lived anywhere else. His early construction training was with two nationally recognized local builders, after which he studied under and led crews for a premier deck building contractor.

Who Helps Us
Brian has personally and carefully assembled a small team of highly skilled tradesmen over the years who will undertake the specialty trades of plumbing, electrical, and drywall as needed for your project. These tradesmen have worked with Brian for many years and consistently produce the perfection requested of them.
All Inclusive
Rest assured we will take care of the project for you from start to the final handshake. This includes assisting with your design, Homeowner’s Association approval, permits, scheduling, construction, and yes, the occasional hand holding. If any changes are required to your plan or you have a mid-project brainstorm, we will only perform the extra work upon receiving your written authorization on a Change Order identifying the alterations and cost associated with the change. This way, there are no hidden charges for you to absorb.
Payments
All payment schedules are conveniently set out for you in the Bid Proposal so that you will know when and how much the payments will be. Payment can be made by check according to the schedule provided. If you would like to arrange financing, please let us know so that we can confidentially discuss your needs.
Warranty
Home Pro Builders, Inc. provides a full one-year Warranty for all labor and workmanship. Manufacture’s Warranties for lumber and other materials are passed on to you as well.
Scope of Work
Our preferred scope of work includes: Decks; Porches; Screened-In Porches; Gazebos; Basements; and Additions. If you have a project that is outside of our preferred scope of work, we will let you know immediately, and even give you some direction for finding the right contractor.
